Possibility of radiochromatographic determination of silver with tritium-labeled didodecyl sulfide

Description

In quantitative inorganic analysis, a method using radioactive reagents has been developed primarily on the basis of the use of inorganic compounds containing radionuclides. In the authors' opinion, the possibilities of this method can be substantially expanded by the use of organic reagents labeled with tritium, a cheap nuclide of hydrogen, with low radiotoxicity. Methods have also been developed for the production of tritium-labeled compounds with high molar radioactivity. In conjunction with the possibilities of liquid scintillation counting, this permits the detection of labeled compounds in amounts of 10-1 - 10-15 mole. An attempt is made to expand the circle of radioreagents by the use of tritium-labeled dialkyl sulfides - neutral sulfur-containing extraction reagents, which react selectively with ions of the noble metals, in particular, with silver
