Radioecological hazard of ship's nuclear reactors dumped in the Arctic

Description

Calculation results on long-loved radionuclides activity of ships reactors, dumped in 1965-1988 in the Arctic, are presented. Essential disagreements with the earlier-published results are identified. It is shown that by hypothetical salvo discharge of all accumulated radionuclides the sea water volume, contaminated up to the permissible concentration in drinking water, will not exceed 0.06 % of the Karsk Sea volume, this zone radius equals approximately 15 km
