Observation of anti-phase boundaries in gadolinium oxide
Description
The observations of anti-phase boundaries in the nonstoichiometric compound GdOsub(0.656) are reported. The GdOsub(0.656) results from the original GdO after oxygen reduction and and APB's originate as a result of the vacancy ordering in different possible ways. Structural models of the APB's based on the determined crystal structure of the compound have been proposed. (author)
