Radiation effects in organics and inorganics for ESR dosimetry
Description
Models of radiation-induced lattice defects or radicals and elementary processes of their formation are discussed for both organics and inorganic materials used in practice for ESR dating and dosimetry. A hybrid material containing a stabilizer embedded in van der Waals type molecular crystal matrix is proposed considering the tissue equivalence of organic materials. Inorganic materials suitable for radiation dosimetry and dosimetric imaging should be developed taking into account the accumulated information on ESR dating and also on TLD materials. (author)
