Diffractive cross sections at low Q2 from ZEUS
Creators
Description
The diffractive cross section dσdiffγ*p→XY/dMX in the mass range 3.0 < MX < 12.2 GeV and MY < 6.0 GeV has been measured at low Q2, 0.22 < Q2 < 0.70 GeV2, by detecting the scattered electron with the ZEUS Beam Pipe Calorimeter. From the W dependence of the diffractive cross section, the effective intercept of Pomeron trajectory is extracted and compared with the values measured in other Q2 ranges. It is also compared with the value obtained from the W dependence of the γ*p total cross section in the same Q2 range
