Description
A new method has been developed for the time-integrated measurement of radon and thoron working levels in air using solid state nuclear track detector (SSNTD). The standardisation procedure used Kodak LR 115 films and the results obtained are briefly outlined. The overall error of this method of measurement works out to be about ±30 per cent. Field trials are carried out in monazite areas of Kerala using this technique. (author). 2 refs., 3 figs
