Description

A numerical calculation of the neutron differential scattering cross section for vanadium is compared with time of flight measurements performed on the ISIS spallation neutron source. Good agreement between calculation and measurement is obtained. It appears that inelastic effects give significant energy dependence and anisotropy in the cross section at room temperature. (orig.)
