Method of removing the decay heat of radioactive fission products
Description
In case of complete depressurization of the THTR-300, fully demineralized water, enriched with boron, is sprayed on the core from above. This method can also be applied for afterheat removal on failure of the steam generators. The recondensed water flows downward and is removed by means of a sphere discharge tube on drain pipes. (DG)
