Preparation of targets using an isotope separator
Description
A discussion is given of the use of the 1800 Oak Ridge Sector Isotope Separator (ORSIS) for the fabrication of thin, uniform ion-deposited targets. Highly enriched targets (greater than 99 percent) can be made in a single preparation starting with a feed having a very low (less than 1 percent) natural abundance
