Description

Procedure and circuit arrangement for detection of small leaks in sodium heated steam generators of fast breeder reactors are described. The noise arising from the liquid sodium-water reaction is received by microphones and the acoustic signals are processed with the aid of the following devices: amplifier, filter, variable-gain amplifier, discriminator, counter, comparator, and processor. In case of exceeding a certain threshold value an alarm system is switched on
