NQR and NMR studies on the impurity effect of the spin-peierls transition. Absence of near-impurity moments in Si-doped CuGeO3

Description
Results of Cu NQR and NMR in Si-doped CuGeO3 are presented. Close inspection of the data suggests absence of impurity-induced local moments in the close vicinity of dopant atoms. A possible mechanism for such unconventional local-moment formation is discussed. (author)
