Measurement of deuteron polarization in polarized target

Description

Syste for measuring deuteron polarization in polarized target representing high-sensitive NMR spectrometer, based on direct current Q-meter with serial measuring circuit, operating in on-line mode, is described. Use of short (λ/12) connecting cable and phase autotuning of the measuring circuit resonance frequency permitted to improve system sensitivity preserving the NMR signal distortions at an insignificant level. Technique for determining deuteron polarization in the target based on analysis and expansion of NMR deuteron spectrum and requiring no recording of thermal equilibrium signal is given. NMR deuteron spectrum has been analysed in 1,2 propylene glycol D8-C3D6 (OD)2 at T=0.3 K and electric field gradient tensor components Vαβ in the place of deuteron disposition for CD and OD couplings have been determined
