Optimization of the RS-ion source for a nuclear microprobe

Description
A unit is designed and implemented for the express measurement of brightness, energy spread, and mass composition of the ion beam extracted from an in source. This unit is used for investigation of the main ion optical characteristics of standard and modified RF ion sources. A magnet system ('mirror' type) consisting of a permanent magnet and ferrite materials is used in the modified RF ion source. Capabilities and advantages of this are shown
