Description
The preparation and X-ray characterization of curium sulfides (CmSsub(2-x), γCm2S3) and selenides (CmSe2, γCm2Se3) have been reported in a previous letter (Damien et al., Inorg. Nucl. Chem. Letters; 11:451 (1975)). Thermal dissocation studies of curium disulfide are described in this paper. As the dissociation temperature increases, the orthorhombic αCm2S3 and the tetragonal β phase, respectively, are formed. (author)
