Quantum statistics of nearly classical systems and application to the virial equation of state. 2

Description

Formulas are given for thermodynamic isotopic effects of real gases. The evaluation of these effects is reduced to the determination of the change of quantum corrections of the second virial coefficient by isotope substitution. Potential parameters of suitable Lennard-Jones potentials for H2, D2, Ne, Ar, Kr, and CH4 are determined and isotopic effects of the second virial coefficients are calculated. The derivations of the second virial coefficient with respect to the reduced temperature - which are needed for the determination of thermodynamic functions and their isotopic effects - are tabulated up to the third quantum correction in the range 0.3<=Tsub(*)<=400 for Lennard-Jones (6-9; 6-12; 6-8) potentials. Abstract (German)

Es werden Formeln für thermodynamische Isotopieeffekte realer Gase angegehen. Die Ermittlung dieser Effekte wird auf die Berechnung der Veränderung der Quantenkorrekturen des 2. Virialkoeffizienten bei Isotopensubstitution zurückgeführt. Für H2, D2, Ne, Ar, Kr, CH4 werden Potentialparameter geeigneter Lennard-Jones-Potentiale ermittelt und mit deren Hilfe die Veränderung des 2. Virialkoeffizienten bei Isotopensubstitution berechnet. Die zur Berechnung thermodynamischer Funktionen und deren Isotopieeffekte benötigten Ableitungen des 2. Virialkoeffizienten nach der reduzierten Temperatur werden bis zur 3. Quantenkorrektur im Bereich 0,3 ≦ T* ≦ 400 für Lennard-Jones-Potentiale (6,9; 6,12; 6,8) tabelliert.
