Description
Using the methods of DTA and X-ray phase analysis of annealed and quenched samples T-x phase diagram of PbF2-YbF3 system is studied. Solid solution Pb1-xYbxF2+x on the basis of PbF2 high-temperature modification with limiting concentration x=0.32 having the maximum on melting curves at 907±5 deg C and x=0.22, phase on the basis of Pb4Yb3F17 incongruently melting at 850 deg C are detected. Eutectics coordinates are 842±5 deg C, 42±2 mol.% YbF3
