Description

The two-neutrino double beta decay of 92Mo to the ground state and excited states of 92Zr is analyzed using the shell-model approach and the quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). Two different valence spaces and three different Gamow-Teller operators are used in the shell-model analysis. The resulting double beta matrix elements and half-lives are compared with the corresponding QRPA results. copyright 1997 The American Physical Society
