Simulation of the fuel assembly thermohydraulic behavior of binary breeder reactor

Description

The physical configuration of the Binary Breeder Reactor and the effects of different spacer grids are analysed. To simulate the thermohydraulic behavior and to obtain data for a first evaluation of the core geometry it was used the COBRA III C Code. This code calculates the effects Of the fuel pin height and diameter, cooling fluid inlet temperature, sYstem pressure helicoidal fuel pitch and the ratio pitch/pin diameter. (F.E.)

Dando sequencia ao desenvolvimento do Reator Binario, neste trabalho e analisada a configuracao fisica do reator e as vantagens e desvantagens dos diversos tipos de espacadores. Para simular o comportamento termo-hidraulico e obter dados para uma primeira avaliacao da geometria do nucleo, usou-se o codigo COBRA III C para estudar os efeitos da altura e diametro da vareta, temperatura de entrada do fluido refrigerante pressao do sistema, passo helicoidal e da razao passo/diametro da vareta.
