Description

A theoretical investigation was made of impurity--vacancy binding and impurity diffusion by the mechanism of vacancy motion. Calculations were made of the impurity--vacancy binding energy and impurity migration energy in simple metals using model pseudopotentials. Several model potentials and dielectric functions were used and the sensitivity of the results to the parameters of the models explored. (U.S.)
