Spin densities in non centro-symmetric structures
Description
Spin densities can be calculated from magnetic structure factors F/sub M/ measured by the polarized neutron diffraction technique. In the case of non centro-symmetric crystals F/sub M/ cannot be deduced directly from the measurements. To overcome this difficulty we propose a treatment where the parameters of a multipole representation of the spin density are determined directly from the observations. This method has been applied to a nitroxide free radical: tanol C9H18NO2
