Surface and volumetric properties of lead and cadmium telluride melts

  • 1. Krasnoyarskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Krasnoyarsk (USSR)

Description

Results of investigations of σ surface tension and α density in Pb-Te system and CdTe are presented. Measurements were conducted by sessile drop method. Surface tension of liquid cadmium telluride was determined in 1360-1400 K range. It was established that σ values for CdTe decreased linearly with temperature growth and were described by equation σ = 346-0.125 T mJ/m2
