Superficial oxydation process of a metallic piece to passivate and fuel assemblies in metallic alloy coating by an oxyde protective layer
Description
Oxydation treatments by electronic bombardment form on metal or alloy surfaces a film of oxyde which improve resistance to ulterior corrosion. The oxyde films are produced by activating a gas containing oxygen electrically and producing a plasma which then contacts with the metal surface which has been heated to 350-6500 C

Les traitements d'oxydation par bombardement ionique ou post-decharge conduisent a la formation a la surface des metaux et alliages passivables d'une couche d'oxyde de quelques micrometres d'epaisseur qui protege les substrats de la corrosion ulterieure. On met en contact le gaz active par la decharge electrique avec la surface de la piece a oxyder portee a une temperature comprise entre 350 et 6500 C. L'invention peut etre utilisee, en particulier, pour former un revetement protecteur sur un element ou une ossature complete en alliage de zirconium d'un assemblage combustible d'un reacteur nucleaire refroidi a l'eauAdditional details
