Electron impact excitation cross sections and rates for hydrogen-like ions

Description
A simple expression for the excitation cross sections and excitation rates of hydrogen-like ions is presented. A combination of Coulomb-Born and Born approximation calculations have been parameterized. The expression for the excitation cross section is continued below threshold in order to estimate electron capture cross sections
