Description

The temperature and field dependence of the magnetization in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ single crystals was measured above the irreversibility line in magnetic fields parallel to the c axis. We found a significant change in the slope of the magnetization dM/dT approximately 5 K above the irreversibility temperature. Related changes in the field dependence of the reversible magnetization slope dM/d(lnH) were also observed. The effect is attributed to the influence of pinning on the distribution of vortices in the material. A modification of the relation describing the field dependence of the reversible magnetization in a superconductor with pinning is proposed
