Description
This paper introduces a novel L-Shaped microstrip patch antenna for multiband applications. The multiband antenna includes several L-shaped strips; each of these strips create new resonance frequency. The reported antenna is proposed for Bluetooth, wireless local area network (WLAN), worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), C-band and ITU 8 GHz. The ultimate designed antenna, with overall size of 15×25×1.6 mm3, has been fabricated on an affordable FR4 substrate and measured. Simulation and experimental results are acceptable and suggest that the reported antenna has good characteristics for multiband applications.
