Facilities and advances in radon thoron and daughter products monitoring at IUAC
Description
Radon, thoron and daughter products measurements were started at this institute around 10 Years back, at present in this organization health physics group has setup all the facilities required for analysis and study of the radon, thoron and daughter products analysis and dosimetry aspects, in addition to their other radiation protection and research activities. This organization is providing all sorts of support required for the university users involved in radon/thoron and daughter products study and analysis of soil samples using gamma spectrometry, in addition to their primary activities of the accelerator based research. Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) has been accredited this facility, for measurement of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K
