Description
The magnetic properties of GdMg and TbMg, as well as the magnetic structure of TbMg have been investigated by neutron diffraction. Both compounds have a non-colinear magnetic structure with a ferromagnetic component. In GdMg, the spontaneous magnetization reaches 4.54μsub(B) at 4.2 K and decreases as T2. For TbMg at 4.2 K, the ferromagnetic component and the antiferromagnetic component perpendicular to the propagation vector (1/2 0 0) are nearly equal to 5.17μsub(B). (author)
