Fire protection organization at the Neckar joint nuclear power station (GKN)

The collaborative organizational unit 'Operational Safety, Fire Protection and Works Fire-brigade' has been incorporated into the operational process. The works fire-brigade consists mainly of members who have other main duties, namely of operators from practically all departments of the day- and shift work. In this way, on every occasion, it is possible to assemble spontaneously a working group who have at their disposal not only a competence in fire-fighting but also excellent knowledge of the actual situation at the particular location of the incident.
