Fire protection organization at the Neckar joint nuclear power station (GKN)

Description
The collaborative organizational unit 'Operational Safety, Fire Protection and Works Fire-brigade' has been incorporated into the operational process. The works fire-brigade consists mainly of members who have other main duties, namely of operators from practically all departments of the day- and shift work. In this way, on every occasion, it is possible to assemble spontaneously a working group who have at their disposal not only a competence in fire-fighting but also excellent knowledge of the actual situation at the particular location of the incident. Abstract (German)
Die gemeinsame Organisationseinheit 'Arbeitssicherheit, Brandschutz und Werkfeuerwehr' ist in den technischen Betriebsablauf einbezogen. Die Werkfeuerwehr besteht hauptsaechlich aus nebenamtlichen Mitgliedern, d.h. aus Mitarbeitern praktisch aller Abteilungen des Tag- und Schichtdienstes. Dadurch kann jederzeit spontan eine Einsatzgruppe gebildet werden, die neben ihrer guten Feuerwehrausbildung auch ueber gute Kenntnisse der aktuellen Situation des jeweiligen Einsatzortes verfuegt.
