Plans for MICE at RAL

Description
MICE is the Muon Ionisation Cooling Experiment; an engineering demonstration of ionisation cooling. The experiment is based on using the ISIS synchrotron and upgrading an existing beam line to provide a 300-400 MeV/c muon beam. Since the MICE proposal was submitted to the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, the design of the beam line and of the infrastructure needed to make MICE a reality has been progressed. This paper describes some of the plans for implementing MICE at RAL
