Results of a year's operation of Phenix
Description
The fast neutron power reactor of the Phenix power station diverged for the first time on August 31, 1973. Connection to the network was made on December 13 of the same year. The tests actively carried out during that period permitted rated power to be reached on March 12, 1974. A statement of the results of the operation of Phenix after a year of service (i.e. at the end of 1974) is presented. After a brief description of Phenix, and especially of its characteristics compared with those of other types of power stations, operation is examined from the following various viewpoints: availability, efficiency, economy, radiation protection

Le reacteur a neutrons rapides de la Centrale Phenix a diverge pour la premiere fois le 31 aout 1973. Le couplage au reseau a ete effectue le 31 decembre de la meme annee. Les essais activement menes pendant cette periode ont permis d'atteindre la puissance nominale le 12 mars 1974. Le present rapport dresse le bilan du fonctionnement de Phenix, apres un an d'exploitation, c'est-a-dire a la fin de 1974. Apres une description rapide de Phenix, et surtout de ses particularites vis-a-vis des centrales d'autres filieres, le fonctionnement est examine sous les differents aspects suivants: disponibilite, rendement energetique, economie, radioprotectionFiles
