Description
In this paper, the authors describe the stability of trapped ions in the Sincrotrone Trieste and how they may be removed. The influence of a gap in the electron bunch train is examined. The authors study the consequences of the nonlinear electron bunch field and the use of static and oscillating electric clearing fields
