Small cell carcinoma of the larynx. A case

Description

Purpose: Small cell carcinoma of the larynx is a rare tumours which is usually very aggressive and spreads rapidly to lymph nodes or more distant locations. Patient and Methods: A further case of small cell carcinoma of the epiglottis treated with a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy is described. Results: The patient attained a very long remission without the need for surgery. Conclusion: The combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy seems to be the most convenient for the treatment of this disease. (Author)
