Highlights: • Cardiac involvement in systemic sclerosis (SSc) is frequent. • Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) can be used to detect cardiac involvement in SSc. • Native T1 mapping and extracellular volume (ECV) are biomarkers for disease monitoring. To study the prognostic value of myocardial native T1 and extracellular volume (ECV), measured by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc).
