Description
New regions of cluster radioactivities (CR) far from the line of β-stability are predicted within analytical superasymmetric fission model. The release energy for α-decay and CR is calculated by using the mass tables published in 1988. CR of α-emitters with atomic numbers below 104 show measurable branching ratio for neutron deficient parent nuclei (e.g. 12 C , 16 O , and 28 Si - emissions from 114-116 Ba , 118-125 Ce , and 127,128 Sm ). CR are the most probable decay modes of α - emitting superheavy nuclei. Another island of CR is expected for Z = 58 - 78 , neutron rich, α - stable parents. (Author)
