Improved four photon mixing method for optical fibre's parameters control

Description
In our previous work we demonstrate the utility of a nonlinear optical method, based on stimulated four-photon mixing to determinate the most important parameters of optical fibers. In this paper we propose improvement of this method which allows to control not only core diameter 2a, core-cladding refractive index difference DΔn , normalized frequency V , and cutoff λc wavelength but also the concentration c of the core dopant. This in turn allows us to achieve greater accuracy in determination of the other fibers parameters. Keywords: Fiber optics, non-linear optics, four photon mixing, optical communications
