Acid-catalyzed hydrocarbon conversion process
Creators
Description
A process is described for converting a feedstock comprising hydrocarbon compounds to conversion product comprising hydrocarbon compounds of lower molecular weight than feedstock hydrocarbon compounds. The process comprises contacting the feedstock at conditions sufficient to convert the feedstock to the products with a catalyst composition prepared by a method for substituting aluminum or gallium for boron or iron contained in the robust framework of a high silica content crystalline zeolite. The method comprises hydrothermally treating the zeolite in the presence of a compound of the aluminum or gallium, the hydrothermal treatment being under conditions effective to induce the substitution
