The formation of helium gas bubbles in neutron-irradiated copper-boron alloys

Description

Abstract The influence of the concentration of helium on the formation of bubbles has been examined in an alloy which contains regions with different helium concentrations. It is found that the helium aggregates into bubbles greater than about 50 Å in diameter only if its local atomic concentration exceeds a critical value between 4 × 10−5 and 3 × 10−4
