The degree of decontamination of floorings and coatings according to the Karlsruhe testing method

The method developed in the Nuclear Research Centre, Karlsruhe, in the department of decontamination operations is presented, which besides the testing of the degree of decontamination of surface also includes physical and chemical investigations. The decontamination results of 78 tested floorings and 32 floor coatings are compiled in tables. A certain part of these materials investigated was used and observed in the facilities and institutes of the Nuclear Research Centre. The results of the test methods correspond to the experience gained in practice. The influence of the resistance to chemicals of surface coatings is discussed. (orig./LH)

Es wird das im Kernforschungzentrum Karlsruhe, Abteilung Dekontaminationsbetriebe, entwickelte Verfahren vorgestellt, das neben der Pruefung der Dekontaminierbarkeit von Oberflaechen physikalische und chemische Untersuchungen einschliesst. Dekontaminationsergebnisse von 78 geprueften Fussbodenbelaegen und 32 Fussbodenbeschichtungen sind in Tabellen zusammengefasst. Ein Teil dieser untersuchten Materialien wurde in den Betrieben und Instituten des Kernforschungszentrums eingesetzt und beobachtet. Die Ergebnisse des Pruefverfahrens entsprechen den in der Praxis gesammelten Erfahrungen. Der Einfluss der Chemikalienbestaendigkeit von Oberflaechenbeschichtungen wird diskutiert.
