Determination of the content of aluminium, manganese, fluorine, lead and cadmium in water for human consumption in a sector of Santa Barbara of Heredia
Description
This study developed an analytical procedure dependable and precise, for the determination of manganese and aluminum by means of the technique of Atomic Emission with Plasma Fountain Coupled Inductively (Icp-Aes), and applied to the water that they supply to a sector of the community of Santa Barbara of Heredia. For the determination of aluminum and manganese, the samples showed that they don't need any prior mineralization or preconcentration processing, for which the analysis is rapid and economic. It determined the concentrations of lead and cadmium in the samples, by means of the volt amperometric method of Anodic Spoils with Differential Pulse, and the technique of standard addition for the quantization of the samples. It also determined the concentrations of fluorine by the colorimetric method of SPANDS. (author)

Se desarrollo un procedimiento analitico confiable y preciso para la determinacion de manganeso y aluminio mediante la tecnica de Emision Atomica con Fuente de Plasma Acoplado Inductivamente (ICP-AES) y se aplico a las aguas que abastecen a un sector de la comunidad de Santa Barbara de Heredia. Se establecio que para la determinacion de aluminio y manganeso las muestras no necesitan ningun tratamiento previo de mineralizacion o precooncentracion por lo que el analisis es rapido y economico. Se determinaron las concentraciones de plomo y cadmio en las muestras mediante el metodo voltamperometrico de Despojo Anodico con Pulso Diferencial, y la tecnica de adicion estandar para la cuantificacion de las muestras.
