Design of a robot manipulator for the RFX first wall

  • 1. Istituto Gas Ionizzati (Associazione ENEA - CNR - EURATOM) - Piazza Salvemini 13, 35131 Padova (Italy)

Description

The paper defines the remote handling tasks in RFX and discusses the basic design choices; a manipulator for the first wall tiles is described and its kinematic analysis is presented. The paper deals with the arm motions and the trajectory planning needed for their execution. The results of the dynamic analysis of the motions and of the frequency response of the arm are discussed. With reference to the results of the analysis, the components that will be used in the manufacture of the manipulator are mentioned
