Description
This paper presents an electron microscopy study carried out on samples of Pb2Sr2Ca1-xYxCu3O8+δ. Several types of planar stacking defects are observed, which were identified as single lamellae of Pb2Sr2(Ca1-xYx)nCu2+nO6+2n+δ, whereby the extra (Ca, Y)-vacancy layers might also contain other ions. Intergrowth of a 1-2-3 type material is observed, with a possible composition YSr2Cu3O7-δ
