Preliminary results from the photoproduction experiment E687 at Fermilab

  • 1. Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Milan (Italy)

Description

The preliminary results of the Fermilab experiment E687 are presented. The main aim of the photoproduction experiment is to study the production and decay of heavy flavour particles. During the period June 1987-February 1988, 60 millions of triggers were collected; the preliminary lifetime determinations for the charged D, the neutral D, the Ds and the Λc are presented. Evidence for the charged and neutral D decaying via Ks and a preliminary determination for the elastic cross section γ + N → J/Ψ + N are also given
