Description
The K x-ray satellite spectra of lanthanum have been measured using a high resolution crystal spectrometer during the bombardment with 403 MeV nitrogen ions. The nitrogen induced La K x-rays reveal a complex satellite structure. In order to investigate L and M subshell ionization probabilities in the case of 'fast' collisions the projectile velocity has been chosen higher than the velocity of L and M target electrons. For calibration and line profile checks the 'clean' La diagram K x-ray lines induced by the bombardment with 25 MeV protons have been measured as well. (author)
