Description
A photoinduced decrease in permeability at 77 K was investigated for the polycrystalline mixed garnets of (Y1/sub - x/R/sub x/)3Fe5O12 with 0< or =x< or =1 and R=Eu, Yb, Ho, Tm, Gd, Tb, and Er. The change of the effect is interpreted as simply due to the change in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of the host material
