Low-temperature specific heat of PdPb2
- 1. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Homi Bhabha Road, Bombay 400005, India
Description
We have measured the low-temperature specific heat in a single crystal PdPb2 in the normal and superconducting states. The normal-state data allow us to determine the coefficient of the electronic specific term γ = 1.2 mJ/g-at. K2, and the Debye temperature FTHETA/sub D/ = 147 K. The electronic specific heat in the superconducting state follows exponential behavior C/sub es//γT/sub c/ = 11.53 exp (-1.42T/sub c//T) in the temperature range investigated. The data suggest that PdPb2 is a weak-coupling superconductor with a high value of the pairing potential
