Auger electron emission due to incident particle in Ar+, Ne+ and Na+ collisions with different solid targets

Description
The L23 Auger spectra of Ar, Ne and Na from the Ar+-Ti, Ne+-Mg, Ne+-Al, Na+-Be, Na+-Mg and Na+-Al collisions have been obtained. For Ar, the L23 MM Auger electrons are emitted from the fast moving incident projectiles and a Doppler broadened structure is observed. The Ne and Na Auger spectra are due to Auger transitions with single or double 2p vancancies in the initial state of the implanted Ne atoms or surface trapped Na atoms
Abstract (French)
Les spectres Auger L23 de l'argon, du neon et du sodium ont ete obtenus lors de collisions entre ces ions et differentes cibles solides. Les electrons Auger de L'argon sont emis a partir du projectile lui-meme et un elargissement Doppler est observe. Les spectres Auger dus au neon et au sodium sont caracteristiques de transitions ayant lieu sur des atomes implantes de neon ou des atomes de sodium 'pieges' a la surface du solideAdditional details
