Time-of-flight spectroscopy: energy calibration and consistency check

Description
A method for calibration of the energy transfers at a time-of-flight (TOF) spectrometer is presented: flight paths and wavelength are determined to 10-3 using the arrival times of neutron pulses and prompt capture γs from the sample. We also developed a method to check the reproducibility of a series of TOF data sets, each with over 50000 data points. (orig.)
