Thermodynamic properties and phase equilibria in the Si-B system

Description
Vapor composition and thermodynamic properties of silicon alloys with boron in the temperature range of 1522-1880 K and in the range of compositions 1.5-100 at. % boron were studied using the Knudsen mass-spectrometry. Approximately 400 values of activities of both components for different compositions and/or temperatures were obtained. Liquid alloys Si-B were described as a perfect associated solution with the only associate B3Si. On the basis of prepared concentration and temperature dependences of thermodynamic functions of formation of the melts and intermetallic phases SiB6 and SiBn phase diagram of Si-B system was calculated

С помощью кнудсеновской масс-спектрометрии исследованы состав пара и термодинамические свойства сплавов кремния с бором в температурном интервале 1522-1880 К и диапазоне составов 1,5-100 ат% бора. Получено около 400 значений активностей обоих компонентов при различных составах и/или температурах. Жидкие сплавы Si-B описаны как идеальный ассоциированный раствор с единственным ассоциатом B3Si. На основании полученных концентрационных и температурных зависимостей термодинамических функций образования расплавов и интерметаллических фаз SiB6 и SiBn рассчитана фазовая диаграмма системы Si-BAdditional details
