Physico-chemical processes on the metal-vacuum border: Interaction of adsorption layers Ti on W with hydrogen

Description

The physico-chemical processes on the border of Ti/W-vacuum have been studied in the presence of low hydrogen pressures (>5 x 10-7 Tr). The adsorption phenomena as well as incorporation of hydrogen into titanium have been observed by means of electron microscopy and work function measurements (Fowler-Nordheim characteristics). 9 refs, 2 figs
