Structural changes during cutting of Mo crystals
Description
Structural changes occurring in the shave and in the product during cutting of Mo single crystals as well as softening processes during annealing after cutting are investigated. Extreme deformation is created when the shave is removed and the dynamic recovery process with lattice reorientation takes place. The strong deformation heterogeneity, which is revealed as the two-scale recrystallisation processes during isothermal annealing, and its localization in separate sections of the specimens can be observed. During high-temperature annealing of the product and the shaves matrix crystal orientation recovery occurs by means of absorption of the recrystallised layer by the undistorted matrix. (author)
